Smile!!!!
Here we are walking along and I am nearly oblivious to my surroundings when my daughter goes wild in getting my attention and my camera poised. I miss so much when I go solo....I need my kids with me!!!!!!

A BIG Person
This woman is a dear friend and exemplifies a deep core of goodness with a doze of happiness and contentment. It is a blessing that she is in my life...so that I may learn!

Shh...Baby!
My daughter was privileged to hold the new baby in the family. Truly....everyone assists in the daily care of the child. Siblings, aunts, uncles, cousins and grandparents help the parents create a safe and loving environment for the baby. Each day many held, rocked (in hammocks) and offered gentle and sometimes lively songs to calm or stimulate and coo the little one through another day...what a wonderful loving existance. I cannot wait to watch this little angel grow through the years.
Walking Home
Whenever I crossed this bridge, a quiet audience watched me inch my way along stiff legged and barely breathing. Getting to the other side was always a relief. Gabrielle actually gave me pointers,"Ma, you carry all your weight back...bend your knees....breath!!!!" Richardo said, "Just run across. Get it over with!!!" As I write this...my breath is shallow...my stomach in knots. Silly huh??!!! The fear of hurling myself off this footbridge is real!!!!!!!!!

Riverside
Lewsiton, Maine
Interestingly enough...we are told the building that is now rubble, sustained a fire just last week. I wish I had a sense of what the building was like before.....hmmmmmm.

LaFortuna, A Volcano and Love
This photo marks our journey into the National Park to witness the activity of an erupting volcano. Jeffrey recalls visiting here as a young kid with his uncle and scrambling for cover as the hot ash is raining from the sky. There were signs periodically warning of the dangers, although we were all pretty relaxed that day and enjoyed the hike in despite the clouds that obscured the very top of the volcano. One could hear boulders sliding down the mountainside and the rumble of gentle eruptions.

Imagination is a Wondrous Thing
My daughter is playing with mud/clay she dug from the ground and a charcoal stick from the fire. Most kids don't have many store bought toys...sticks, stones, and trees!!!! You get the picture.
