Sunday Supper

This represents the easiest and tastiest kind of supper to call the end of a glorious weekend. French crepes with fresh fruit.

Ain't No Spring Chicken

On this the second full day of spring (yes SPRING) we spent recess constructing snowmen, snow forts and snow angels with the stickiest of spring snow. All the kids had a ball. Perhaps we will get a chance again this spring! Ya, what do you think?!

Super Moon-Take 2

Last night we missed watching the moon emerge from the horizon. Not tonight. I was a bit disappointed with the shots. Sure is tough taking night shots without a tripod.

Happy St. Patrick's Day

May we live in peace without weeping. May our joy outline the lives we touch without ceasing. And may our love fill the world, angel wings tenderly beating.

Lounging

Harry is a beautiful feline, and knows it. Here he is propped against my son into this funky position one of his own accord.

Home Port

Everyone needs a place. A place that you can find peace and muster a reserve of strength when needed. So when the world is swirling, careening out of control and weeping in sorrow, you can come home and be enveloped in love. And perhaps we can get through this together.

Winter Beach

A late winter visit to the beach renders hope that spring will soon follow.

Flowers from My Love

My husband greeted me after work with flowers-a whole bunch of flowers! Truly, it was a bit of sunshine amongst a dreary day of wind, rain and darkness. I am grateful.

Winter Visit

Here my son is exploring his home after being away. There is something about this place that is so tightly woven in your being, that it never leaves you. You carry it. It sustains you while away until you return for another "fill-up."

Early Winter

It all seemed to begin in early December when one of our first storms left this. A fog is rising from this lake just before a rain that washed away all the snow. But the snow season of 2010 and 2011 persists to this day. Whether it is my resistance to change or what, I truly become sad to see the snow melt. I love the white sparkle. It takes me a bit to settle into a new season.

The Last Days of Ice Fishing

We spent a cozy morning huddled in the ice tent near the little wood stove as it was raining, sleeting and blowing a gale. Periodically the fisher-men made their way on snowmobile to check the tip ups. NO fish today, but the weather made for wonderful memories.
