Easter Prep

We have an Easter tradition to pack up muffins, hard boiled eggs, cheese and hot drinks for a hike. Once to our destination, we offer prayers for renewal....

CRAZY CRAZE!

I am currently grateful for the beauty that my two orchids are providing me on a daily basis. This is an image of the second one I bought a few days following the first purchase. Yesterday, I went to the store to pick up a third, but alas they were ALL gone.

Mumma Kitty

This sweet petite kitty is fondly referred to as Mumma Kitty....she was abandoned in the gravel pit and was pregnant when we brought her home. She gave birth to Harry one of the most beautiful cats I have ever seen. Long, sleek and elegant with a chiseled face....oh, wait this post in about Mumma, not Harry. Her meow is a squeak...a petite squeak for a wee cat.

Orchid

For years I have looked and looked and oooo'd and ahh'd over orchids. And finally, I decided to take one home. I am determined to be a good tender of this beauty. Yes, isn't it a BEAUT?! Wish me luck.

Hello Sunshine

I barely had my eyes opened when my sweet daughter appeared at my bed side, just to say good morning. Certainly it is the little kindnesses that touch my heart.

keepin' the lights burnin'

imagine building after building solid and stately...fufilling its' purpose for generation after generation. is this a thing of the past? disposable country.

Is it a Symbol?

Guiltily I reached into the potato chip bag for some crunch and salt to accompany my tea and pulled this out. No ordinary chip.

The headlines continue to scream crisis and suffering. It prompts a bit of philosophical thinking. In this day we need to muckle onto anything worthy, anything positive. It is faith that guides us through crisis, the hope for better times and a strong love that binds us in unity. I can do my part in my little world. Sure, I'll take it as a symbol. And....a reminder.
