Kitty
What is it about kitties and my husband? He is just a big softy and came home with this sweet, little, playful, always purring kitty. My Happy Halloween surprise!
Nature
After a hard day at work, gazing at this photograph gives me peace- the colors, the light and shadows. I am transported remembering the sounds of the rainforest, the warmth of the sun, and the slight breeze which accompanied me on long walks through Tirumbina.

My Little Chickadee!
Today was downright cold. The kind of day you had wished you had worn gloves or mittens. Dropping temperatures means a return of the little chickadee. As I walked to my car after work near dusk I heard the familiar, "Chick-a-dee-dee-dee." It made me SMILE after a long day.

Sliced and Tossed
OK, OK...sometimes I try too hard and the results are disastrous. I was trying to set up for cool photo. As I sliced the pineapple, the shots looked too set up. In desparation I tossed the remnants in the trash. About 30 minutes later walking by I noticed a pattern in the fruit and quickly stuck my camera in the trash! I know, I know I need to compost.

Wild Thing
What's wilder than an erupting volcano? I took this shot while in La Fortuna, Costa Rica. The rumbling could be heard all about town.

What's in Your Glove Compartment?
This automobile does get me to work and back while my son is using my brand new car to get back and forth to his college classes. The sacrifices of a parent!
Nearly November
It is October 21st. In 70 degree temperatures in the shade, I journeyed about in search of fall colors. That I did find, but I also found the unexpected a lupine. Come visit Maine in JUNE (yes I said June) and you will find hillsides in hues of purple, pink and sometimes white lupine. Did someone say there was no evidence of global warming? This is scary.
OOOOOOOH SO SCARY!
Just in time for Halloween. "It" gives me the creeps! Of course, there is a story behind this image. While on the beach earlier this summer, my son found an eyeball. As I basked in the sun he leaned over me and tried to freak me out. Of course I was freaked, just think of all the germs on that eyeball!

Butterfly With Your Carrot?
This monarch was found alive amongst the carrots in the butterfly garden at my school in Maine on October 19th. Here it is nearly November! What an amazing study in symmetry.
