Strong Roots

Submitted by my son: the 13 year old who is already bored silly. After days of hearing the repeated cries of, "There is nothing to do." I sent him on a photographic project. Here is the first submission of that attempt to scare the boredom away.

Tolerant Subject

I spent the last 10 to 15 minutes fumbling with my TtV contraption to take a decent photo of Harry. Notice that I didn't post a TtV...instead this black and white of Harry lounging about. Such a life!

Blurry-Eyed Morning

I took the plunge and tried something that I have always wanted to do...I made homemade jam. (A big thank you to Soulemama who encouraged her readers to try jam making. She gave me courage!!!) We picked the strawberries, cut the rhubarb from our yard and after many hours of easy steps...viola...strawberry rhubarb jam. It was such a pleasure to see it change into a deep ruby red as it cooked. Whole wheat blueberry scones with butter and a bit of jam started our morning. YUM...next blueberry jam?? We will see.

All a Matter of Perspective

I took this shot figuring that these two trees were "married", but as I drew closer I realized that they were far far apart. When my husband saw this image he said those trees are "husband and wife."

"The Bridge"

Here is the bridge I cross each day to get to work...it affords a breathtaking view as you pass. Blue Hill is in the background.

Gone to Seed

Not sure what kind of flower this is or was, but the fluffy globe of seeds is HUGE.

A Touching Display

As I visited homes near San Jose, Costa Rica, I was touched by the numerous displays of "Religious Devotion." I found these taped to a window of a home.

Truly...

It is the Maine Coast. This was taken at the little beach that is a five minute walk from my house. Truly...we are blessed.
