When I was in second grade my mother bought me a "Barbie-Imposter." The Mattel commercials made an impression upon me, but it seems didn't reach my mother, for I never was the owner of a real Barbie frozen in a perpetual tippy-toe stance. In reality I was never wild about Barbie's and have never bought my daughter one, but she has received many over the last few years. I want to know something though, why do I find headless Barbie's here and there. Is it big brothers' revenge? And why don't the Barbies ever have clothes on when their wardrobe rivals the cost of the clothes in MY closet? Barbie must be into handbags though for she has one slung over her bare arm.
