The Question of Sharing a Bed

It was a restless night,
The foot of the bed gave room to curl into a c, nose to tail,
But no,
In the hours when it is inky black,
You crept,
Onto my pillow
Bit by bit nudging my head off
Until all I had was a tiny corner
To lay my cheek,
And you wouldn’t budge
Out of your deep sleep.

Why do I share my bed with you?
It is simple.

I am not a dog person (well really I am not an animal person), but I am always amazed by other (more loving of course) people willing to share their space with a furry animal.
